What is NOISE?

My debut EP. The world’s introduction to me after years of teaching myself music. This is a passion project, not a money project. Everything—from marketing to artwork, writing, and beyond—is done by me, for the music. Why the title NOISE? Because it represents exactly what I love—noise.

One thing I’ve learned: it’s okay to be lazy, especially when the goal is just to have fun. I had to remind myself that I could do zero marketing, have no social media presence, tell no one about this, and nothing would change—because I’m doing this for me. Even if no one reads these blogs, they exist for me to exercise my skills, grow, and prove that I simply can. Watching videos about how to grow an instagram page with “secret” tips, cold emailing people, leaving dozens comments a day on other peoples posts that I don't care about, focusing on those types of things defeats the purpose of while I made this EP.

Burnout is real. I have to go at my pace, not the pace the industry or social media expects. At one point, I nearly fell into the trap of over-planning—obsessing over track order, release schedules, whether my next drop should be a single or an album, or if I should focus on promo. But worrying about those details drains the fun out of it. So, I’m keeping things simple: this blog, SUNO, Instagram. Maybe Pinterest and YouTube if I have the time.

How It Started

The EP kicked off with THUNDER—the first track I produced after a long break. At first, I was just playing around, chopping up a loop I liked. But one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I had a full song. As they say, “strike while the iron is hot,” so I did.

The Rest of the Tracks

BACK & FORTH lives up to its name—bouncing between Jersey Club and UK Drill, shifting between male and female rappers. The whole EP plays with structure, but it’s really emphasized here.
PRIMAL FLIP samples ADDICTED, an original K-pop amapiano track I wrote for SUNO. It’s got a raw, amateur house mix vibe, a Jersey Club kick pattern, and the infamous bed squeak sample. Just pure fun.
DARK shifts the tone. It started with a UK Drill loop I liked, setting a classic rap vibe. Not gonna lie, I was thinking about Batman when I wrote this one—some of the lyrics even stem from a scrapped song called BLACKLIST, which had Gotham City references.
MASK might be my favorite, but it’s hard to choose. It blends contemporary R&B, Jersey Club, and drift phonk into something unique. And… (drumroll) Tinashe’s vocals make an appearance! If you’re familiar with 2 On or her recent track Nasty, you’ll recognize her. While the main vocals aren’t hers, the background ad-libs and chops are straight from Tinashe’s exclusive Soundtrap vocal pack released in 2024 for Women’s History Month.

Wrapping It Up

At the end of the day, NOISE is just that—noise I love making. No pressure, no expectations, just pure expression. If you're into it, give it a listen—stream it on Spotify and let me know what you think. Or don’t. Either way, I’ll still be here making some noise.
